Where Are The Support Boundaries With Unmanaged VPS? Print

  • 4

Our unmanaged VPS support responsibility covers the following:

  • Initially ensuring the VPS is booted and available after creation
  • Ongoing internet connectivity is presented to the VPS virtual network adapter

All other aspects of the administration of the VPS are the responsibility of the customer. This includes any network connectivity issues that arise due to customer configuration within the VPS, application installation, configuration, server hardening, updates, etc.

Via our VPS control panel tools, Farbyte ensures that customers can administer their VPS even in the event of total loss of direct network connectivity (e.g. accidentally flushing iptables in the VPS).

The above is our official support responsibility; however, if technical staff are available they will offer additional support/guidance where possible and within reason.
